Shakambri Group is the brainchild of Shri Radhakrishan Goyal who hails from Jhunjhunu Rajasthan and over the years with his persistence and perseverance has transformed the food grains industry through his business ventures from time to time.With a rich legacy of half a century, Shakambri group was incepted in 1978 wherein the domestic trade of indigineous pulses was initiated from Rajasthan.In the early 90s,keeping his roots intact,our founder established a full fledged entity in Delhi and never looked back.In 2005, Shakambri group commenced the trade of sugar and emerged as a renowned identity in the sugar industry.Further,in 2010 the group entered the domain of import of food grains like chickpea,pigeon pea and today this name stands tall in the market amongst the key players. Also,the group procures food grains and pulses from eminent government organisations like NAFED,MMTC,NCDEX and MARKFED and are relied upon by significant millers of the industry. Black gram or black matpe commonly known as URAD originated in India, where it has been in cultivation from ancient times and is one of the most nutritious and exorbitantly prized pulses of India. It is very widely used in the North Indian cuisine. The Coastal Andhra region in Andhra Pradesh is famous for black gram. Black gram has also been introduced to other tropical areas such as the Caribbean, Fiji, Mauritius, and Africa, mainly by Indian immigrants.
Pigeonpea, commonly known as tuar or Arhar, is a very old crop of this country. After gram, arhar is the second most important pulse crop in the country. It is mainly eaten in the form of split pulse as ‘dal’. Seeds of arhar are also rich in iron, iodine, essential amino acids like lycine, threonine, cystine and arginine etc.More than 80% of tur production comes from 6 states of Maharashtra, MP, Karnataka, UP, Gujarat and Jharkhand.
The chickpea or desi chana is variously known as gram, bengal gram , chana, and chole.Chickpea seeds are high in protein and is one of the earliest cultivated legumes, and 7500-year-old remains have been found in the Middle East.
It is extensively used in salads, soups and stews, curry and other meal products like channa. The chickpea is important in Indian, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine. In 2017, India produced 67% of the world total for chickpeas.

The mung bean , alternatively known as the green gram, maash or moong is mainly cultivated in East Asia, Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent. It is used as an ingredient in both savory and sweet dishes.They’re high in nutrients and believed to aid many ailments
